Doctor Ivan is originally from Romania. He attended Carol Davila School of Medicine in Bucharest. He is fluent in several languages including Romanian, German, and Spanish.

Doctor Ivan completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He completed a fellowship in cardiology at the Emory University in Atlanta followed with a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Louisville.

He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Doctor Eugen Ivan comes to Lawton from the University of Utah where he served as Director of the Peripheral Vascular Intervention Program.

The nearby Wichita Mountains and friendliness of the community were key points in Doctor Ivan and his wife relocating to Lawton. They are both very active and love being in the outdoors, particularly enjoying hiking and skiing.
