Doctor Parikh was born in India, where he completed his medical school and post-graduate training in internal medicine. In 1975, he moved to the United States to fulfill his desire to become a cardiologist. He completed another internal medicine residency in New York, followed by his cardiology fellowship in Chicago.

Doctor Parikh moved to Lawton in 1981 as the first cardiologist in the area and has been practicing interventional cardiology since then.

Doctor Parikh is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and of the American College of Cardiology. He is also involved in teaching Family Practice residents from the University of Oklahoma.

Doctor Parikh is married and has three children. He enjoys sports, music, and traveling. He has found the Lawton community to be welcoming and friendly, reminiscent of his hometown in India.
