Dr. Velury comes from India, where he attended medical school. Dr. Velury brings with him to Lawton his wife Padmashree and his two young children, Divya and Pooja.

Dr. Velury interned at the Columbus Cabrini Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois, with residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, Massachusetts. He also completed a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Kentucky - Lexington and a fellowship in interventional cardiology, University of Cincinnati, Ohio.

He is certified by the American Board of Cardiology, the Board of Nuclear Cardiology, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Interventional Cardiology.
